4 Stars, Buy it Self Purchase, Comixology I really loved the art in this. At first I wasn’t sure if I liked the story or not but by the end, I really wanted to see what was next.  I felt like you were kind of thrown into the middle of the story without much background. The numbering is a bit weird, but I suspect it’s because it’s a foreign comic. I will be interested to see where this might go. Description (Comixology): The Blue Elves of Ennlya, a small port town of Nordrenn, have been murdered!Lanawyn, a Blue Elf, and Turin, her human ally, set out to discover who is responsible. The trail they uncover leads back to a clan of Yrlans – Northern men who hate Elves. At the same time, Vaalann, a young...

5 Stars, BUY IT!!!!! Self Purchase, Comixology Ha! I finally have time to read a single issue comic during my lunch break. The girls are being held prisoner by goblins. Betty of course gets them out. She is so adorable and so freaking funny. Hannah’s father (I think it’s Hannah so bad with names) is causing problems so off the girls go. I FUCKING LOVE THIS COMIC. If you aren’t reading it, what the hell is wrong? This is my favorite comic out right now, maybe even better than Saga.  I love the cussing and that the girls are not stupid wall flowers. OMG can’t get enough of Betty. And this issue is left on a cliff hanger damn it!!! Why can’t this comic come out more often. So consistently awesome. Quotes: “ Getting...

The Autumnlands: Tooth & Claw #3...

5 Stars, Buy it. Self Purchase, Comixology So the champion doesn’t seem to know he’s the champion and he is confused as to where he is.  Two of the animal characters are arguing and then Goodfoot enters – possibly a fox as they are known to be sly and tricksters.Councillor Sandorst- is the owl and is attempting to take charge and seems to be making friends with Goodfoot. Gharta- is the warthog and seems to be being pushed out of the way by Sandorst and Goodfoot. Meanwhile, the champion comes back to help the others who aren’t being protected by other animals (who are headed by Gharta). OK seriously, don’t like Sandorst, not that we are supposed to. But really what an obnoxious Owl. Also the Champion curses like a Sailor (so do I,...

5 Stars, Buy it Self Purchase, Comixology Overall, really very good. I love all the animal characters. I love the art. There really isn’t much to complain about really other than the issues are too short. But I’m glad I’ve found a new ongoing series to read. I highly recommend this. It can be a little violent in places, but I’m not against violence as it isn’t unneccesary and is definitely part of the story. When my son is older and can read, I will definitely recommend this series to him. But honestly it might be too complicated for children, but it is a fantastic read for adults. Definitely buy and read this series.  Also, the end of this issue shows some extra sketches which I find to be really nice. My summary: The...

5 Stars, Buy it   Self purchase, Comixology   First Impression: I think I’m really going to like this.   Today I really wanted to try a new series since the last three single comic issues I read were not all that exciting so I bought two new comics to try, this being one of them.  The cover is super awesome and that is probably why it caught my attention.   I love (mostly) anything with airships so I was happy to see them. I definitely like the writing a lot.  The art is quite good (not spectacular but I still like it enough to rate the entire issue 5 stars).  I also really liked that as it was a first issue, it was made extra long so you could really get into it....

Star Rating: 5 Stars, Buy it   Self Purchase for Kindle, Re-read review   If you haven’t read this series, you really have no idea of what you are missing. The writing style is so unique and superb and adds so much to the series. I must admit though sometimes the writing can be hard to follow. Also, there is so much politics in this series, that sometimes I just can’t follow it all. That being said though, it’s still an incredibly original and unique series.   This is a reread for me, having read this originally years ago.  I had forgotten how long the prelude was on this book. At 9% in, I’m only now getting to chapter one. Yes, Michelle Sagara West can be very wordy. Normally I don’t mind but I wanted...
