Alex and Ada #6

Overall, 4 Stars, Buy it   Star Rating Art: 3 Stars Star Rating Story: 5 Stars   Self Purchase, Comixology,   It’s been 6 or so months since I read the first volume in the series so I can’t really remember that much.  The art is very simplistic which I suppose is the point, but i find it too simplistic though its not horrible but that is why I only gave the art a 3 stars. The story and writing are fantastic and got 5 stars which averages to a 4 stars. Very good series and I have subscribed to it on Comixology.  Worth purchasing.   In this single issue, Alex and Ada have decided to stay put inside to get things settled and there are some things that Ada wants to try.  Alex...

5 Stars, Buy it So Marko still has no idea that his wife is on drugs. This is so not going to end well is it? Alana makes Marko leave. I think my soul might just have been crushed. NOOOOO!!!!  Not quite sure how the Prince robot is connected in all of this but at least I have one or two more issues before i’m caught up and have to wait endlessley for the new issues to be released.  Not only is the story amazing and original, the writing rocks and the art is out of this world. And In any case, read this series, even if you think you don’t like graphic novels, seriously this series is awesome!...

Bone Volume 4 The Dragonslayer

5 Stars, Buy it   Comixology purchased, re-read   Amazing, just amazing. Even if I’ve read them before.  It’s a great series for young and old. The art work is amazing, the writing is awesome, everything is perfect about this series. Highly recommend for everyone. I honestly can’t remember how the series ends, but I would totally love for Fone Bone and Thorn to end up together.   In the first issue in this volume, grandma is getting the feeling that something bad is going to happen while traveling with Fone bone and Thorn.  Meanwhile, Lucius is furious that Phone Bone is making more money on his half of the bar. In the 2nd issue Bone, Thorn and Grandma are cornered by rat creatures. Issue 3 starts with the stupid rat creatures being hilarious....

5 Stars, buy it.   Self Purchase, Comixology   Loved this. I love Catwoman, Harley and Poison Ivy. This was freaking awesome. I love the writing, loved the characters, loved the. There are enough single issues out to make into a volume 2, but honestly I’m not sure I’m going to be able to hold off because I really loved this that much.  I will hold out for now but as soon as I see some other stuff I want immediately on comixology, I will probably add more issues and possibly subscribe. LOL. Comics are addicting. I really love strong women.   Summary of plot SPOILERS Catwoman, Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy starting sort of working and potentially living together. At the end of the first issue, Poison Ivy demands Catwoman tell them who...

Star Rating:4.5 Stars, Buy it Netgalley Review. First Impression: Surprisingly good. I haven’t had a lot of luck with fiction from Netgalley. So I was surprised I am enjoying/enjoyed this. This book produces a lot of feels especially toward the end.  I’m a little bit traumatized.  I’m really torn as to what rating to give this.  I guess I’m going to go with 4.5  I also feel like this is a really hard book to review without giving major spoilers away. So I think this time I’m just going down my list of reminders, I’m sorry if this review seems choppy. I found this to be pretty original and the plot story line was very good. I was definitely left screaming at the end, I want more!  The writing was decent. However one minor...

Overall: 4.5 Stars, buy it Story: 5 Stars Art: 4 Stars Self Purchase, Comixology. This is another one where I’ve ended up getting a subscription to on Comixology instead of having the torturous wait for the graphic novels. I like that these are DRM free so I can download them and save them. I appreciate the brief summary at the beginning of the issue. I’m still not over awed with the art, but I suspect it adds to the feel of the dystopian society.  I really miss Forever who is my favorite of the Caryle’s children. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like I’ll see much of her in this story arc. Anyway, the story continues to be fantastic and while the art is decent and  good, it’s not my favorite. This is the story of...
